DVS+CinelliDVS+Cinelli

The Brown Santa arrived today bearing these new gifts straight out of DVS HQ. To say we're impressed would be an understatement... DVS Luster X Cinelli... stay tuned for more info.

Gripe - South Korea

Our friend Hinomura has recently enlightened us to the new Rider Pants made by Gripe in South Korea. Gripe is also one of the supporters of the upcoming Fixie! Picnic Weekend! Thanks Hinomura!

phil_new.jpg

Phil Wood is always working on new, innovative projects. Today, Phil introduces us to the Lil Phil Centric and the hub shell for Rohloff hubs. The Lil Phil Centric has a square taper and threads to a standard bottom bracket shell. Keep checking the Phil Blog for a release date and consistent drool-able content.

aeroyal

Just like Cinelli recently brought back the Unicantor, Selle Royal dug into their roots and unearthed the Aeroyal. It's part of the recently released Origins line, ready for takeoff here, or at your local bike shop.

bottombracket2.jpg

We are halfway through winter and the salt is starting to take it's toll. This year my bottom bracket was the first to cry for help. I tried to ignore the snapping and grinding for 2 weeks....then came the fireworks. It was like a string of Black Cats going off in between my crank arms. The sudden loss of chain tension was the grand finale. After breaking the seal of a poorly greased shell with a pipe wrench, the innards of what used to be a sealed cartridge bearing spilled onto the floor.

The life expectancy of a bottom bracket in Milwaukee is usually one year if you are lucky. If one last longer than that....you aren't riding enough.

Fabrichorse

Simply put, COG would not be possible without our advertisers... We've made some great relationships over the nine issues we've managed to publish since November, 2007. Fabric Horse has been supporting us the whole way. Not only do we love and use their products, we love the ads!

DVS Keirin shoes

Since our first issue back in 2007, we've been bringing the world of Keirin racing to the readers of COG. All credit for this coverage goes out to Yohei Morita and more recently May-Z who brought us Girl's Keirin racing within issues 8-9.
It seems this coverage has not gone unnoticed with the new line of canvas kicks coming from DVS. What's awesome about these shoes is they come in the complete Keirin rainbow of colors for ultimate mix and match potential!

Knog_Stickers_COG_Hats

Pretty much everyone who left the Knog party bubble at Interbike walked away with a nice stack of stickers. Upon my return, they've provided hours of "good clean fun" for my daughter and friends.
Here at COG HQ we've also received a new batch of super-custom caps from Chuey Brand. Available here!

CCP_Bandana.jpg

CCP Is consistantly pumping out new stuff. Most of their stuff is done in small batches like this bandana. Act quick, these wont last long!

cranky's.jpg

Jim C of Orange20 and Bike Talk Radio fame just opened a new shop called Cranky's in Santa Barbara, CA. Jim is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and his bike knowledge is uncanny. Cranky's will also be stocking COG on the shelves, so stop on in! Make sure you check out the amazing mural!

Cadence_winter2010.jpg

Cadence and DVS Shoes just released a sneak peak of the holiday 2010 line up. So stoked to see this project grow!

SavetheBM.jpg

Inspired From Tracko's "Save The Track Bike!" pins, we bring you "Save The Bike Messenger!" pins. The pin speaks for itself. Bike messengers perform miracles every day. The last few years messenger companies and indy messenger alike have felt the effects of the economic state. We as messengers know our importance to the city we work in. Most companies take us for granted and don't realize how important we are to the community. This pin pays homage to all the messengers around the world working day in and day out for the love of pedaling and pushing packages.

Chuey Brand Caps

Here's a sneak peek at some new caps we have coming from Chuey Brand in San Francisco!

If you like VERY limited edition shoes (DVS) and creative minded contests, head over to Pedal Consumption and get your photo on! Looking really nice Patrick!

Mission Workshop

As you can see here, the Mission Workshop Vandal backpack can easily hold wheel boxes with it's ultra-expando closing strap. Much to the disbelief of your average Postal employee.

Kazane chainring

Our friend Stratton over at Keirin Culture in Roanoke, VA recently dropped this custom CNC'd drillium chainring on us. More info soon on these.

DVS-Cadence

We just received a couple pairs of the DVS/Cadence shoes, so far so good!! Look for these to be released sometime in May.
