Today we are proud to announce the official launch of Chrome's newest Southside All City shoe in collaboration with COG. We wanted our readers to be the first to know that they are available (limited edition of 600 pairs) today on the CHROME website!

Now live is a short documentary of Peter during the final days of our production and mailing of issue 11 made by local Milwaukee filmmaker, Jack Davidson with help editing from Dan Ollman. Check it out below!
Chrome asked Prolly to do a little Q&A style interview with us for their site which can be seen HERE.

A HUGE thank you to all the above mentioned and especially CHROME for giving us this opportunity. We are really stoked to be a part of this project!

It's true, all of the stainless headbadges you see gracing Milwaukee Bicycle Co.'s frames are silver brazed one by one in the basement of Ben's Cycles. Just ask Steve.

The Brown Santa arrived today bearing these new gifts straight out of DVS HQ. To say we're impressed would be an understatement... DVS Luster X Cinelli... stay tuned for more info.
We will be releasing a series of shorts in the next couple of weeks just for fun. All were filmed with a 1962 Bell & Howell Filmo DR-70, 16mm camera. In total we shot about 400 feet of film. Who knows how many we can make! For part one I double exposed a roll of Tri-x reversal film (this is not a computer effect). Enjoy!
Niki over at Mobius/Grain Studios in Seattle sent us this shot she took of a new Dank Coozie of the month. Refreshing indeed!
This Italian beer company definitely has the right attitude. Looks like they threw some custom stickers on blank cans for a special event we missed out on...maybe (hopefully) next time!!!

Now these were not specifically made for us at COG Mag. They were made for the COG Bike Cafe in Mt. Evelyn, Australia. These works of art were made by Iain Banfield of Fruition Bakery, in the Yarra Valley Hills just outside Melbourne. Iain shot us an email showing us what he likes to do with his extra dough. Nice work Iain! What a small, delicious world we live in!

"Ordered in person from Nagasawa-san in September after we had dinner together. The first thing he did when we met was autograph the Sept issue(09) of COG with his interview"
-Bob Rogen (New owner of a Nagasawa fixed gear road bike)

Looks like Brooks is off to a productive and an exciting start to the New Year. In the fall Brooks hinted they were going to dive into the clothing market under the label, John
Boultbee. For this project they worked with the famous clothing designer, Timothy Everest.
The jacket may look casual, but it is packed with well thought out technical features.
Reinforced shoulders, windproof/waterproof fabric, and thumbholes are
just a few of the details of the jacket.
For more info check out the Brooks Blog.
their new clothing label will not disappoint.

Simply put, COG would not be possible without our advertisers... We've made some great relationships over the nine issues we've managed to publish since November, 2007. Fabric Horse has been supporting us the whole way. Not only do we love and use their products, we love the ads!

In today's twitterverse, a hand-written thank you card received in the mail, is a rare thing. We received this one today from someone in Miami.
Much Appreciated indeed!

The cork has been popped on the new Trash Bags website! As you can see Andy, the founder and Minneapolis messenger, is pretty excited about it. We agree, nice work all around!

Remember back in COG issue 01 we did a little write-up on Dank Bags in Seattle, WA? Remember how we said his bags were next to impossible to get? Well, it looks like Dank Bags not only has a website now, he also has online ordering! If you are in the market for a rock solid messenger made messenger bag/backpack or simply want one of his infamous beer coozies, check out what Cory has to offer.

There's a lot of people who will agree that the best beer is free beer. But what about free beer that arrives in the mail! To our amazement, not only was this beer dropped off at our doorstep by our wonderful mail carrier, it is one of the best (if only) Rye'd Ales we've ever tasted.
Crank Tank Rye'd Ale is one of SweetWater Brewery's Dank Tank specialties, not to be missed. We highly recommend stopping by this Atlanta based brewery during your stay for the upcoming NACCC and Loose Nut's Bike Battle later this week!

Pretty much everyone who left the Knog party bubble at Interbike walked away with a nice stack of stickers. Upon my return, they've provided hours of "good clean fun" for my daughter and friends. Here at COG HQ we've also received a new batch of super-custom caps from Chuey Brand. Available here!
Interbike is a place of the unexpected. COG was invited to the exclusive DVS/Cadence showroom in Vegas tonight. Things are looking good, really good. Check back soon for a sneak peek at new designs in the works.
On our recent trip out to NYC for this year's Bicycle Film Festival, one of the many great moments we brought back with us was this interview with Joey Krillz, co-founder of THE GRIME in Brooklyn.

The Gates Carbon Drive belt is looking better all the time. The continual frame and hub improvements are making this system hard to ignore! Schindelhauer Bikes gives your daily dose of adventure.

Nice little photo competition over at ReStrap. Win a pair of ReStraps! Love this flyer!

Last weekend the Velocity Tour stopped at the Kenosha Velodrome. Al Urbanski took home this amazing bar/stem combo made by Six-Eleven Bicycle Co. Nico Deportago-Cabrera is going to Guatemala to race in the CMWC!

Cadence and DVS Shoes just released a sneak peak of the holiday 2010 line up. So stoked to see this project grow!

Copenhagen Parts introduces the "Bike Porter". A great design, especially if you don't want to ride with a rack all the time. Love the packaging too! This is Copenhagen Parts first project, designed by Goodmorning Technology.

The visual code on the Campagnolo packaging makes it easy for everyone to identify the content, overcoming the language barrier.
Groupe type (color code), The Component typer (Symbol) and tech details are identifiable throughout the world.

Here's a sneak peek at some new caps we have coming from Chuey Brand in San Francisco!

Diggin Andrew Hauge's illustrations he did for Outlier's Pivot Sleeve Shirt!

Our friend Stratton over at Keirin Culture in Roanoke, VA recently dropped this custom CNC'd drillium chainring on us. More info soon on these.

Dave from Ellis Cycles stopped by the COG HQ photo studio yesterday with one of his raving beauties. This bike was built around the Shimano Di2 electronic derailleur system. Dave's seamless integration is something to behold. And by the way, this bike is for sale.

Richard Sachs is a legendary framebuilder, and a subscriber...

Visit COG with Nagasawa Racing Cycles while attending the Handmade Bicycle Fair, January 15- 17 at the Tokyo Science Museum. Come to meet Mr. Nagasawa! Of course I am there, too.
Tazón Pista - Ahhh, the smell of track bikes and coffee in the morning...
